News: In-Person Safety Precautions in Effect During the COVID-19 Pandemic

AR Music Therapy is taking steps to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus as per local, state, federal and industry orders and guidelines. Please be advised that we may make changes to these precautions based on additional orders or guidelines as they occur. 

In-person services will be considered on a case-by-case basis and at the comfort of both you and your music provider.  

The following precautions may be utilized by AR Music Therapy to protect our clients, participants, music therapists, and instructors and to help slow the spread of the coronavirus:

• Music providers will take their temperature prior to each appointment.
• If your music provider has an elevated temperature/fever or any other symptoms of the coronavirus (including but not limited to fatigue, dry cough, or difficulty breathing), they will inform you and cancel your in-person appointment.
• Music providers may wear masks and may wear other personal protective equipment including face shields, gloves, etc. as per current local, state and federal guidelines.
• Music providers will maintain safe distancing.
• Music providers will wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer prior to, each appointment and as needed during the appointment.
• Physical contact will be avoided.
• Musical instruments are disinfected between appointments and sanitized at the end of each day.  ​
• Your music therapist or instructor reserves the right to cancel your appointment if they believe you have a fever, symptoms, may have been exposed or do not feel safe in the appointment setting.  If this happens, they can follow up with virtual services as appropriate.
